On Friday, July 15th, 2022, a Prayer Bench was dedicated in Molly’s honor on the beach in Indian Shores, FL. It is a place that she loved as she spent time with family and friends. Many beautiful memories were built on this beach and so it is only fitting that we honor Molly’s faithful legacy in this way. Molly was a beautiful light in this world. The following bible verse and prayers were shared at the bench dedication.
You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
Matthew 5:14-16
Father, you have the power to control the sun and the moon. You are the everlasting Light.
Help us to see a light at the end of our tunnel. Sometimes we can barely remember what light looks like or what it feels like to have simple joy. Help us to focus on you even in the darkness.
Support our family and friends as they struggle with loss. When trials plague those we love, we feel so helpless. Please show your light in their lives.
Thank you, God, that you are our rock and healer and that you will bring our mourning to an end. In the name of the everlasting Light, amen.
