With the arrival of a new school year, we are happy to share some very heartwarming news. As if Molly didn’t make us beyond proud already, she once again has us amazed. School and learning, combined with service to others, was always a priority for Molly. We were recently informed by Dr. Jason Wilken and The University of Iowa that Molly is a published researcher! Molly’s research regarding carbon fiber orthosis use is published in 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘑𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘰𝘧 𝘎𝘢𝘪𝘵 & 𝘗𝘰𝘴𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦. Dr. Wilken stated that Molly’s research will be the foundation for others for many years to come. She is still making a difference and we are grateful. Please visit the link for the full article: Foot offloading associated with carbon fiber orthosis use: A pilot study
We were also gifted with a copy of Molly’s 82 page published Master’s Thesis entitled, “Incorporating in vivo data into a computational modeling framework to assess the effects of carbon fiber, bracing on ankle, joint function and contact mechanics.”
Dr. Wilken graciously took time with us to explain the research in layman’s terms. Molly and her colleagues sure completed some incredible work to support the use of orthotics.
